John Marvin Cameron Sr., 88 of Fayetteville, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022 in his home with family by his side.
Born July 6, 1934 in Cumberland County, John is the son of the late Neill Alex and Effie Mae Cameron. Along with his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Cameron; son, William Cameron; grandson, Charlie Cameron; and granddaughter, Isabelle Young.
He is survived by his son, John Cameron, Jr. and his wife Renee; son, Terry Cameron; daughter, Suzzie Young and fiancé Daniel McGill; daughter, Lisa Marshall-Gravelle and husband Michael; grandchildren, Brian Young and wife Jennifer, Jennifer Young, Cameron Marshall, and Amanda Cameron and fiancé James Morman; great grandchildren, Gage Young, Brody Young, Breylon Beverage, Da’mari Cameron, Mavis Young, Kai’mel Morman, and Zay’sean Morman; sisters, Carrie Pope and Mae Cameron; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
John was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
