Authorities have made an arrest in the shooting death of a man and the wounding of a woman on Oct. 8 in the 1900 block of North Street, according to the Fayetteville Police Department.
Carl McGill, 24, was arrested Thursday and charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder, according to a news release Monday. He is being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center without bond.
A shooting was reported about 6 p.m. Oct. 8 in the area of 1900 North Street, the release said. Fayetteville police officers found Alonzo Clark, 22, with multiple gunshot wounds. Clark was taken to Cape Fear Valley Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Officers also found a woman with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, the release said.
