A Fayetteville man has been charged with first-degree murder in a June 26 shooting on Veanna Drive.
Tirreil Mario Maynor, 39, of the 1900 block of Cowan Street, is charged in the death of Douglas Mangum, the Fayetteville Police Department said. Mangum was shot at a residence on the 1600 block of Veanna Drive.
Maynor also is charged with conspiracy and discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling, police said in a release.
Maynor was arrested Thursday by the U.S. Marshals Service in Sanford. He was taken to the Cumberland County Detention Center, where he remains under no bond.
Officers were dispatched to Veanna Drive shortly after 12:15 p.m. in reference to a shooting. They found Mangum, who had been shot in the torso. He was taken to the hospital, where he died of his injuries, police have said.
