Martin Junior Roberts, 89 years old, passed away on August 27, 2022.
Martin is preceded in death by his father, Wister Bryant Roberts; mother, Mary Davis Roberts; and his wife, Patsy Scearce Roberts. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Kelly R. Shaw and husband, Jonathan; Son, Jay Roberts and wife, Janet; grandson, Sean Roberts; Granddaughter, Tiffany Roberts; and special friend, Betty L. Denning.
Martin was born October 29, 1932, in Ontario, Canada. He served in the US Army in the 82nd Airborne Division. Martin started Roberts Used Cars in 1962 and was known as the “The Van Man.” He enjoyed life to the fullest and will be greatly missed.
The family will greet friends prior the service on Friday, September 2, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home from 10:30 to 11:45 Am. A Funeral service will be held at 12 PM with Pastor Keith Smith and Pastor Judd Dixon officiating. Burial to follow the service at Lafayette Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project in Martin’s name.
