Mary Sue Henderson, age 85 passed away on Sunday, Feb 11, 2024, at Beaufort Hospital in Washington NC surrounded by her loving family. Sue was born in Fayetteville, NC on August 19, 1938, to the late Carey and Grace Horne
She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny F. Henderson, Sr. and her son Danny F. Henderson, Jr. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Carey Jr., and Judson Edgar Horne
Sue is survived by her sons, Don and Ward Henderson and daughter "Crickett" LeMasters. Sue is also survived by her sister, Ann Stephens, and sister-in-law Vickie Horne. Sue is survived by her 12 grandchildren: Nicole Henderson Conley; Danny Henderson, III, Colby Henderson; Chris Henderson, Brandon Henderson, Mitchell Henderson, Lauren LeMasters, Steven LeMasters, Diedra McArthur-Robinson, Derrick Bradley, Carey Henderson and Carly Henderson great grandchildren, Antonio Simmons, Nicolas Simmons, Alexandra Conley, Natalia Conley, Kinley Henderson, Blair Henderson Charlotte LeMasters, Reagan LeMasters, Luke Clark, and Levi Clark
Sue was especially talented and enjoyed working with children, she was a strong, hard-working mom of 4 and spouse of a career sailor. She was a woman of faith and positively impacted many young people. She had a heart of gold.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery at 2 pm with Pastor Hampton Faircloth officiating.
