The Murphy Road bridge at Exit 55 on Interstate 95 in Eastover has been closed for a year, according to a spokesman for the N.C. Department of Transportation.
A new bridge over nearby Reese Creek is being constructed as part of the I-95 widening project for flood control, the spokesman said.
A detour is designated on Baywood Drive to cross I-95 onto U.S. 301, then to Murphy Road in Eastover.
