Eight schools in the Cumberland County district will have new principals in the fall.
The Board of Education has approved the following assignments:
Timberly Jones is the new principal of Westarea Elementary School. She has been assistant principal at Warrenwood Elementary School.
Sharley Ditmore is the new principal of Max Abbott Middle School. She has been assistant principal at Spring Lake Middle School.
Shawn O'Connor is the new principal at South View Middle School. He has been the assistant superintendent of human resources for Hoke County Schools.
Marcus Stewart is the new principal at Sunnyside Elementary School. He has been an assistant principal at Pine Forest High School.
Rachel Andress is the new principal at William H. Owen Elementary School. She has been assistant principal at Massey Hill Classical High School.
Amanda Hefner is the new principal at Margaret Willis Elementary School, moving from assistant principal at Ben Martin Elementary School.
Ebony Forte-Johnson was named principal at Manchester Elementary School. She had been assistant principal at Gray's Creek Middle School.
Brooke Griffie is the new principal at Beaver Dam Elementary School. She was previously an assistant principal at Cape Fear High School.
