A shooting on Cude Street left one man dead Saturday night, the Fayetteville Police Department said.
At approximately 9:10 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Cude Street for reports of shots being fired.
When they arrived, officers found a man who was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center to be treated for his injuries. He was pronounced dead at the hospital, the Police Department said in the release.
On Sunday, police identified the man as 35-year-old Markus McKnight.
