Police: 5 charged, drugs and weapons seized after month-long investigation

Five people were arrested after a month-long investigation by the Fayetteville Police Department and a search that yielded drugs, money and weapons, the department said in a release.

The investigation on Penfield Drive yielded probable cause for a search warrant to be executed, the release said.

The Police Department said lawmen recovered the following items during the search: 

  • 4 grams of Psilocybin (mushrooms)    
  • 6 oxycodone tablets 
  • 10 Xanex tablets 
  • 2.52 pounds of marijuana edibles 
  • 14.6 pounds of marijuana 
  • 13.27 grams of Fentanyl 
  • $6,852 
  • 1 AR15 rifle that had previously been reported stolen. 

 Five people were arrested on 22 drug and weapons offenses, the release said.

The investigation is ongoing.

The Police Department’s Cross Creek District Community Empowerment Response Team (CERT) worked with the Narcotic Vice Suppression Unit and the Cross Creek District Property Unit detectives on the investigation.
