A "Raising of the N.C. state flag" ceremony is scheduled for May 16 at 8 a.m. at the flag pole by the main entrance to Howard Hall Elementary School, 526 Andrews Road.
The flag flew over the state capital and will be raised at the school. Opening remarks will be made by state House Rep. Marvin Lucas.
