Roger Alvin Shelton died May 3, 2022, in the hospital in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Mr. Shelton was born in Mount Airy, North Carolina on June 12, 1936, to parents Albert and Nellie Shelton. He graduated from High Point University with a degree in business and a minor in history and music. He proudly served in the United States Army. He married Mary Chason Shelton in 1964.
He is survived by his wife Mary; his two daughters Michelle and Rebecca; his five grandchildren Richard, Tyler, Kyle, Jacob, and Sarah; his two great-grandchildren Cole and Lily and his son-in-law Brian O’Connor.
Mr. Shelton was preceded in death by two of his children, Gina and Michael. Mr. Shelton died surrounded by his loving wife and devoted daughters.
A memorial service will be hosted May 22, 2022, at 3:00 PM at Grand Strand Baptist Church, 350 Hospitality Lane, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579.
