Rose Marie (Lanthorn) Reese, 63, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Cape Fear Valley Hospital with her husband, son, and grandson at her side. Marie was born at Cape Fear in Fayetteville, NC on April 8, 1959, to the late Earl B. Lanthorn and Ann D. (Butler) Lanthorn.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Terry S. (lanthorn) Jacobson. Marie is survived by her husband, Lewis; son, Earl; stepchildren, Scott, Todd, Adam, and Anna; her 13 grandchildren and her sister, Barbara Ann Sykes and many other relatives and friends.
Marie was a kind, caring, and loving person loved by all who knew her. The world will be lost without her in it.
A viewing will be held at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home on Monday, July 18, 2022, from 7 PM until 9 Pm and services at Rogers and Breece Chapel on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at 12:30 PM. Marie will be laid to rest at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery at Fort Bragg, NC.
