Ruth Gordon Hooker, 91, of Fayetteville passed away peacefully at home on March 3, 2022.
DeeDee was born May 11, 1930, to Roy and Irene Gordon. She was loved by all who knew her and spent her life helping and taking care of others. DeeDee loved her family dearly.
Ruth is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, T.L. “Whitey” Hooker; grandson, Elliott Gordon Hooker; and daughter-in-law, Patti M. Hooker. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Arthur C. Hooker of Fayetteville; daughter, Ann Hooker Culbreth (George) of Rockfish; grandson, Charles Hooker of Charlotte; two younger brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2pm at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, with Pastor Tommy Underwood officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service at 1:30 to 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cape Fear Church of Christ, 3808 Village Dr. Fayetteville, NC 28304, or a charity of your choice.
