Sgt. 1st Class (Ret.) James William Shupe, 89, of Fayetteville passed away on July 23, 2022.
James is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Elizabeth Shupe; parents, Harvey, and Alice Shupe; brothers, Harvey G. Shupe and Glen H. Shupe; and sister, Gaynelle Wall. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his sons, James R. Shupe of Lubbock, TX and David W. Shupe of St. Pauls, NC; daughter, Susan Gore of Fayetteville, NC; siblings, Mack D. Shupe of Parkersburg, WVA, Geneva E. Eanes of Martinsville, VA, Stella Meadows, Geraldine (Toni) Foley of Linden, NC; stepson, Ralph E. Waller of Burlington, NC and stepdaughter, Kathy Brooks of Greensboro, NC; four grandchildren and four step grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM on Friday, July 29, 2022, with Reverend Gary Shupe officiating. Burial will follow the service at Lafayette Memorial Park West.
