Shelby J. Osborne

Shelby Jean Osborne departed on August 24, 2022 at McLeod Health at the age of 70. She was born on March 22, 1852 in Lumberton, North Carolina to the late Luther McKellar and Beatrice McKellar. Shelby graduated from Lumberton Senior High in 1970. She was married to the late Gary Osborne. She was an active member at Lighting Temple and served on the Mother Board. Shelby also served the community through voters registration. She also loved spending time with family and friends.

Shelby Osborne was preceded in death by her son Jamal Osborne and is survived by two sons; Luther Osborne and Brandon (TerRanne) Osborne. Shelby has 17 grandchildren; Nysheanna Pendergrass, Jameck Pendergrass, Atticus Flowers, Dominique Osborne, Isaiah Griffin, Kenyon Kasey, Jasohn Thompson, Keam Thompson, Markel Ford, Martae Callahan, Azavine Carter, Trevon McDowell, Qua'Dreke Osborne, Markelle Osborne, Nashem Osborne, Ze'quan Osborne and Brandon Osborne. Shelby is also so survived by her nieces and nephews Wanette Washington, Bernadette Washington, Tammy Lynch, Tah Tah Edwards, Charles Mckellar, Kenneth Mckellar and Patrick McKellar. She also has a host of great nieces and great nephews. Shelby had three special friends Dale Harris, Vickie Deberry and Ursla Howard.
