A shooting Friday night on Town Street left one man dead, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies responded to a shooting at 10:42 p.m. on the 3500 block of Town Street, the Sheriff’sOffice said in a release. They found an adult male with a gunshot wound, who was pronounced dead, the release said.
The Sheriff’s Office on Saturday identified the man as 58-year-old Lowell Anderson of Fayetteville.
The Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit is investigating.
