Thomas ‟Tommy” Gerald Taylor, 78, of Fayetteville passed away Monday, February 19, 2024 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Thomas was born in Parkton, NC on March 7, 1945, son to the late Luther Monroe Taylor and Lucille Ard Taylor. Thomas worked for the Pepsi Company as a Mechanic and owned Taylor Nursery and Taylor Paint and Body before retirement. He also was the Inventor and held the Patient for Gasohol Fuel. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Janice Taylor, his daughter, Angela Taylor and his siblings L.C. Taylor, David Taylor, Carl Taylor, Rosalee Taylor Goude, Laura Taylor Waller, and Betty Faye Taylor Hall I. Thomas was a great man who was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wonderful caregivers, who he saw as his family for the past seven years, Renee Canipe, Chris Oden, Nina Underwood, Margarite Mckethan, Vernon Mckethan, Brenda Johnson, Brenda Carmichael, Brenda Peterson, and Pam Pugh.
A Graveside Service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 28, 2024 in the Mausoleum at LaFayette Memorial Park, 2301 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301 with Reverend James Merkel officiating.
