The family of 1st Lt. Nasser Hassoun, including his wife Emily, son Elias and daughter Eliana, were chosen as the event's 2023 Fort Liberty Family of the Year, according to the U.S. Army. Other 14 nominees were considered for the title, which has been a tradition for 21 years.
