The Phoenix Center is asking men to walk in heels down Hay Street in support of victims of sexual violence. The Walk Awhile in Their Shoes event is scheduled for March 25 from 6 to 9 p.m. This year the agency is also emphasizing the effect this violence has on young people and is encouraging children to join the walk. The walk will begin in front of The Capitol Encore Academy and end with festivities at Segra Stadium. The agency helps victims through a 24/7 hotline, hospital and courtroom advocacy, counseling and other services.
