The Fayetteville Police Department is investigating a Saturday night shooting that left a woman dead.
Officers responded to the 6100 block of Lonestar Road around 9:30 p.m. for reports of suspicious circumstances.
When officers arrived, they found a woman suffering from gunshot wounds. She died at the scene, the Police Department said in a release.
