Fort Bragg paratroopers complete training for E3B certification

Posted

Paratroopers across the 82nd Airborne Division finished a 12-mile road march and a weapons test to receive their E3B certification on Fort Bragg on April 7. A total of 371 paratroopers and soldiers from multiple units and locations successfully completed E3B training.

The E3B training tests soldiers’ skills to achieve the Expert Infantry Badge, Expert Soldier Badge and Expert Field Medical Badge, according to the Defense Visual Information Distribution Service.

After train-up and acclimating to the environment, candidates compete individually to achieve the badge in their respective testing event.

The testing week started off with the physical fitness assessment, which is different for each badge. EIB candidates complete push-ups, sit-ups and a four-mile run while ESB and EFMB badge candidates complete hand-release push-ups, sprint-drag-carry and a two-mile run DVIDS reports.
