Lorraine Williams, 59, of Fayetteville, N.C., passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at home with her family by her side.
Lorry was born on November 16, 1963, on Fort Bragg to Hocutt Williams and Margaret Mobley Williams. She was a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, where she earned her bachelor's degree in journalism. Lorry was passionate about her career as a journalist with The Fayetteville Observer and CityView publications. She loved to travel and dance and enjoyed spending time at the beach.
She is survived by her mother, Margaret Williams of Fayetteville.; her sister, Linda Hensley and husband. Kelvin. of Fayetteville; two nieces: Jessica Hensley and Kelsey Hensley, both of Fayetteville; and a great-nephew, Grayson Hensley. She was preceded in death by her father, Hocutt Williams.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2023, with Pastor Woody Griffin officiating. Inurnment will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens in Spring Lake, NC.
