The annual Grinding of the Greens Christmas tree recycling program is scheduled for Jan. 15. The program encourages Fayetteville residents to recycle their live Christmas trees, which are turned into mulch for the Fayetteville Community Garden and local parks. A special pickup to collect the trees started Monday. Trees should be placed by the curb. All lights, stands and trimmings should be removed.
