Man arrested in Saturday shooting of pregnant woman that left infant dead
An infant is dead after its mother was shot in the stomach, forcing an emergency Caesarean section, according to the Fayetteville Police Department. The woman, who was in the late term of her pregnancy, was shot in the stomach in the 1800 block of Powell Street. She was in critical condition at the hospital, a news release said.

Saturday shootings injure three women, one man
Three women and a man were injured by gunfire on Saturday in two separate incidents, according to the Fayetteville Police Department. A shooting was reported about 5:15 p.m. Saturday in the area of Gillespie and Trade streets. About 11 p.m. Saturday, a shooting was reported at the Speedway convenience story on South Eastern Boulevard.
Evening clinics to offer required school vaccinations
